Nicole,
It was so nice to meet you Sunday at the Berniece Gardens! As I mentioned Sunday was wash day. I normally do not look forward to tackling all of this hair because it means shampoo twice, condition, hydrate, detangle, section, detangle, and then braid using the loc method for each part. Well, here's my review:
Wash day for my seriously thick 4C hair is always to be dreaded. I normally wait until everything is done around the house and everyone is asleep so that I can spend the next 3 hours alone watching Investigation Discovery while parting my hair. But after meeting Ms. Nicole Janae and getting the Natural Joy Detangling Brush and Natural 48 Elixir, I decided to do it earlier in the day while the kids were awake so they could watch as well. After washing my hair, I saturated my hair with the Natural 48 and sectioned my hair with my fingers only. Until Sunday, I had only been using castor oil and water. The Natural 48 was light enough but really made my hair so soft. I used the Detangling Brush on each section. I started with the ends because they really were in bad shape. Imagine my surprise how easily that brush glided through my hair! Each time I moved up a bit on my hair with that brush, it easily glided right on through. Talk about surprised and happy! The shampoo comb could NEVER!
I am a super fan of the LOC method and normally use a spray bottle of castor oil and water along with Isoplus twist and loc cream. This time I used the Natural 48 Elixer with the Isoplus cream on each section before braiding. When I took my hair down Monday morning, I had a seriously beautiful braid-out. Now wild, fly aways, just beautiful shiny hair. Today is Tuesday and I haven't had to reactivate it with the 48 and water combo!
